Setting the Default Scanner to T100 for Non-Administrors

When logged on to a PC as a non-administrator, the default scanner type registry key for the Logos Imaging Application may be missing. This will cause either the Dixcam or DCR810 TWAIN DS to open when the user clicks Logos Image in the Incident Browser window even though the T100/T110 was selected as the default scanning device during software installation. Please follow the steps below to create the necessary registry setting.

Note: If you received your system prior to January 1, 2009 and have not upgraded your software, please do so first by going to http://www.logosimaging.com/downloads.html and downloading the latest version.

  1. Log in as the non-administrator user.
  2. On the Start Menu, choose Run.
  3. Type regedit in the Open: field and click OK.
  4. Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Logos Imaging\Logos Imaging Application.
  5. Right Click on Logos Imaging Application and select New – String Value.
  6. Type Scanner Value and hit Enter on your keyboard.
  7. Right click Scanner Type and select Modify.
  8. Type T100/T110 QuadSpeed CR Scanner in the Value Data field.
  9. Click OK.
  10. Close the Registry Editor.
